MTE Consultants is a multidisciplinary engineering firm that has been supporting communities across Ontario for over 40 years. This integration strengthens our civil engineering capabilities in Barrie and Central Ontario, while providing you with access to a broader range of in-house services to support your projects.

WMI provides civil engineering services to private land developers across residential, commercial/retail, and resort projects, as well as to municipalities on a range of capital works. Our services include water distribution, wastewater collection, stormwater management systems, and full road construction and urban reconstruction.

Services
WMI offers traffic impact assessment services for a wide range of development projects, ensuring that traffic-related impacts are effectively addressed throughout the planning and detailed design phases to meet all development approval requirements.
The scope of services we provide within the discipline of traffic engineering:
- Completing trip generation and trip distribution assessments
- Providing warrant analyzes for different forms of intersection control (I.e. all-way stop, signals, turn lanes)
- Assessing and providing recommendations on geometric design of transportation systems, assessment of pedestrian control facilities, sight-distance assessment
- Assess internal traffic movements & queuing within the site
- Operational/ traffic analysis modelling
Stephen Morash, P.Eng.
Stephen Morash brings over 35 years of civil engineering experience to our team. A graduate of the University of Guelph, he returned to his hometown of Barrie, Ontario, to apply his skills in both the municipal and private land development sectors. Throughout his career, Stephen has taken on key roles in project management, design coordination, office administration, and business development for land development projects across Ontario.
Widely respected for his expertise in providing cost effective solutions in land development projects, Stephen has built a strong reputation for delivering practical, effective solutions. His work with firms throughout the Georgian Bay area has earned him the trust of clients and colleagues alike, making him a valued leader in the industry.
Dean A. Ives, P.Eng.
Dean Ives is a graduate of the University of Windsor and brings over 30 years of experience in the civil engineering industry. He began his career in contract administration and construction inspection, spending several years on-site gaining hands-on knowledge that continues to inform his practical, solution-focused approach today.
As a project manager and lead design engineer, Dean is known for delivering projects on time and within budget. His well-rounded background and attention to detail make him a trusted resource for clients looking for both technical expertise and practical insight. With a high focus on clients’ needs and long term goals Dean is able to consistently deliver solutions.
Jeremy Lightheart, P. Eng.
Jeremy Lightheart is an honours graduate of the University of Western Ontario. Jeremy is a valued member of the WMI team as a project manager and lead technical designer. Jeremy has earned a trusted and respected reputation within the industry with over 21 years of consulting engineering experience comprised of a diverse project management/design portfolio. Influenced by a farming background, Jeremy’s focus is on providing both practical and cost effective design solutions for his clients which WMI as a whole, prides itself on.
Jonathan Reimer, P. Eng.
Jonathan Reimer is a graduate of Queen’s University, and has over 17 years of experience in the field of Land Development and Municipal Engineering. He has a wide range of experience with large and small scale municipal infrastructure projects, project management, and contract administration. Jonathan also possesses a traffic impact assessment specialty. His varied field experience and hands-on construction practice experience has given him the ability to produce cost effective, practical design solutions for a variety of land development and municipal design projects.
Andrew Windrem, C. Tech
Andrew Windrem is a graduate of Conestoga College with over seven years of experience in land development at WMI. His balanced background in both design and contract administration allows him to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions throughout the project. Andrew also specializes in topographic surveys, bringing a well-rounded and technical approach to each project. His broad skill set and attention to detail help ensure successful outcomes from initial planning to final completion.
